NEWS: 02/02/2025 - UPDATE - Not taking on any further orders now. Apologies.
Due to high demand, my order book is now full and I will be focussing on fulfilling all current orders only. This will take me well into summer 2025. Apologies if you've come here looking to place an order. I can suggest trying www.coppice-products.co.uk to find other local coppice workers, or try your local coppice group.
I 'might' be able to assist with a few local orders of hazel sundries, beanpoles, plant supports etc, as I process through the remaining hazel, but all hazel stakes and binders (for hedgelaying etc) are spoken for as of now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Products and prices can be found for general products : Products page and Chestnut pole prices
Important Note: Coppicing is seasonal, the wood I cut from hazel and sweet chestnut coppice (copse) is all coppiced during the winter months as this is when the sap is down and the quality of the wood is best, especially if it is to be used for outdoor projects, it also fits around wildlife cycles and maximises the regeneration of the copse during the summer growing season. This also means that I can only hold a certain level of stock as I generally sell most of it during the late winter/early spring months. If you are after quantities of hazel binders for woven fencing, for example, or chestnut poles or chestnut stakes the best time to contact me is from September through until December to place your order otherwise I may not be able to help you until the next cutting season, the following year!
So if you have spring or summer projects you wish to plan for, get your order in during winter if you can as I increasingly get booked up way ahead of the seasons' change.
